Golf swing tips are now almost everywhere. On the tv, surfing the internet, or in your favority magazine you can find a free golf tip from someone. Not to mention your pals who are ready to offer you a free golf swing tip whenever you are looking for one. Online golf tips are quickly becoming the information source of choice for golfers, the information age has made it easier then ever to get the answer.
So the question we need to ask ourselves is, does a free golf swing tip give us the help we need or send us on a wild goose chase? If you spend some time researching you’ll find that some free golf swing tips are better left alone. Because not all free tips are created equal some professionals and instructors suggest it’s best for golfers to just ignore any free swing tips.
You should evaluate what the free golf swing tip is asking you to do. For instance a tip telling you to swing at the ball with all your strength is seriously incorrect.
Some golfers are seen doing just that how ever, attacking the ball with such strength it’s almost impossible they won’t injure themselves at the same. Another improper tip is to twist over the wrists in an effort to increase the club head speed right before contact is made with the ball. Like the last free golf swing tip mentioned twisting of the wrists is likely to cause injury as well.
The right free golf swing tip will help develop the correct exercises and techniques that condition the golfers body to do the work rather then just b. A genuine free golf swing tip should increase strength in the golf muscles, leading to better results.
Particular free golf swing tips will help build more strength and power in your swing, helping you play a better game over time. Any free golf swing tip that emphasizes this point is bound to be genuine and may have a positive effect on your golf swing.
One thing that free golf swing tips do, is help the golfer thing more about your swing mechanics rather then just focusing on driving the ball hundreds of yards into the fairway, or dropping it in the cup on the green.
Of course it’s difficult to know if the person supplying you with the free golf swing tips is a genuine instructor or pro. Of course there is no better way to determine this then to use your own judgment before you begin to learn a new technique or practice a new drill. Everyone has an opinion on how a proper golf swing should be done, as well as what technique or drill you should be practicing to increase your drive.

When watching golf on television, one cannot help but wonder how men and women can make millions of dollars playing a game that looks so simple. Honestly, who can’t hit a ball into a hole with 4 or 5 tries? Ahh, but golf is another one of those “finer arts”, and it can take years and years of practice before you break par – let alone try for those birdie thingies! For people looking to get into the sport, golf lessons are probably the best way to go – unless you were raised on the greens like dear Tiger.

So, is there any real difference between instructors, or will anyone do?

Hey look, there are $7 an hour fry cooks at McDonald’s and $100,000 per year chefs – both can teach you how to cook, but the results you’ll experience will be far different. While a higher price does not always mean higher quality, it is a good rule of thumb to go by when looking for the “Zen Master” instructor for your golf lessons.

How do I choose an instructor?

As with almost any decision we make, the budget is always a factor. How much money can you afford? Are these golf lessons to help you meet clients, or are you just looking to learn how to play the game? If you really don’t like golf but know it would be a great business asset, then you will want a better instructor. After all, the golf lessons then become a business investment, correct? You will generally find the more experienced and sought-after instructors giving golf lessons at the higher end clubs and resorts. A Las Vegas golf lesson at the Walter’s Golf Academy might be given by Chuck Matlack, Mike Davis, or Jimmie Pollard – all of whom are seasoned pro’s with great portfolios – and with great rates to match!

Do I have to have private golf lessons, or are there other options?

Now that is a very good question. You can either receive golf lessons from an instructor in a one-on-one setting, or attend a “Golf School” where lessons are given in groups. Clearly, you will get more personalized golf lessons with a personal instructor, but the process can take months, and progress may be slow. But if you want to save some money and need a crash course, then golf lessons from one of the many available schools is the route to take.

What else should I know?

You should definitely know your own commitment level. Look – golf lessons are not cheap. Whatever you learn – be it from Jimmie Pollard during a Las Vegas golf lesson or at Greg’s Golf Shack – you will need to reinforce what you learn with practice. Otherwise, you are just wasting your money. So be sure that you really want to play the game, be it for business or pleasure, before deciding to take golf lessons.

As with anything else, you’ll want your golf instructor or school to be the best investment of both time and money possible. Therefore, don’t be afraid to ask for references, or even to interview the potential instructors before making a decision. After factoring in budget, instruction style, and your own commitment level, select the best golf lessons option for you and your needs. You’ll be glad you did.

Ah yes it’s wonderful. As your opposition ball sails into a difficult lie in a bunker you commiserate out loud and inwardly thank the golfing gods for visiting a little piece of potential misery on them. And as if that isn’t enough you are hoping they fail to get out in one and start losing it mentally.

It’s strange because while we gleefully witness the opposition’s difficulties we can feel no real hatred for them. And what happens if they play a remarkable bunker shot that rolls up to the hole and with the last atomic level movement, falls in? You go from glee and fractional pity to outright dislike and loathing. Well maybe this isn’t quite you but most golfers have at some time experienced similar situations and emotions to varying degrees. Depending how much you dislike your opposition in the first place those feelings of glee at their misfortune and resentment at their good play can be quite strong. (We don’t even want to mention the emotional surges of deep resentment if they have a load of really good bounces)

Here is a question I love to ask of any situation I am not enjoying. “What’s good about this?” Now at the time this can be a little tricky to answer because we don’t want to find anything good in a situation causing us anger. We want to be angry, react, whine, complain, blame and moan, but with practice this question can bring us back on the road we need to be if performance is the motivator.

What’s good about finding yourself experiencing these emotions? One thing is that it’s a reminder that we are not playing golf. We are playing the opposition and allowing ego to rule. Use this emotional reminder to get yourself back into playing your game, which should be about playing to your strengths, attempting only those shots you know you are capable of. Play against yourself and the course. The game against yourself is about emotional control and playing one shot at a time. It’s about staying in the present and not allowing past poor performances to enter your thinking during the shot. Example – “I sliced it out of bounds here yesterday, don’t DO IT AGAIN!” It’s about not allowing future results to creep in, like; “If I don’t hole this putt I will lose the hole!”

The game against the course is about managing your game to the course. It’s about balancing risk and reward and managing tricky situations so you end up with bogey at worst instead of doubles and triples. It’s about Red, Orange or Green lights on each shot. If a shot you are about to play is flashing big red lights in your mind you shouldn’t be doing it. Rethink your club and shot strategy until you have a shot you know you have a very high probability of playing well. In other words Green lights flashing in your head.

The mental game of golf and life is vast, fascinating and worth taking a serious look at because the payoffs for your performance are truly amazing. You don’t have to become a psychologist, there are lots of easy to understand and implement methods that have high value payoffs.

“It will always be the ball and me.” -Tiger Woods

“I am the toughest golfer mentally.” -Tiger Woods

Imagine the next time you join a discussion about how to shop for golf lessons. When you start sharing the fascinating golf lessons facts below, your friends will be absolutely amazed.

Before, it has been acclaimed as a game for those who can afford to buy the equipment needed. But as time goes by, golf has gradually gained mass recognition, as it becomes an affordable sport.

However, golf lessons remain to be very expensive. That’s why it is important to take into considerations the different factors that need to be mulled over before obtaining golf lessons.

Therefore, for those who would like to know how to shop for golf lessons in the market, here is a list of some tips that can be used:

1. Budget

Before a Tiger Wood wannabe enrolls into some golf lessons, he or she must first learn how to stick to the budget.

Golf lessons’ prices may vary and there are instances where other institutions price their golf lessons really high. So it’s better for a beginner to conform to his budget so that he will not be compelled to take the best and the most expensive golf lessons.

2. Know the preferences

It is important to consider one’s preference for golf lessons. For example, if an individual is very particular with the instructors, then, he or she should be prepared to prepare a bigger budget for it because skilled instructors usually offer expensive golf lessons.

3. Consider one’s goals and dedication to learn the game

You may not consider everything you just read to be crucial information about golf lessons. But don’t be surprised if you find yourself recalling and using this very information in the next few days.

Expensive golf lessons can really do amazement with one’s performance in the game. However, these things will only be put to waste if the concerned individual is not dedicated to do the lessons.

The important thing in golf lessons is to have one’s goals and dedication meet at a certain point.

4. Types of golf lessons

Golf lessons can either be private or those that are taught in golf schools. Both are advantageous to a golf wannabe. The only difference they make is with the length of time required to finish the lessons.

Private golf lessons entail a longer period than golf lessons taught in schools.

5. Shop around

Not all golf lesson providers are created equal. Hence, it is important for a person who wants to learn golf lessons to shop around first so that he will be able to compare one item from another.

Indeed, golf lessons can be very expensive. That’s why it is important to consider these factors so as to avoid any additional expenses.

Nevertheless, golf lessons can definitely help a person harness his or her skills when playing golf.

So now you know a little bit about how to shop for golf lessons. Even if you don’t know everything, you’ve done something worthwhile: you’ve expanded your knowledge.
