The company constantly develops new products and also keeps improving its older ones to make sure that Callaway golf drivers, woods and putters are leaders everywhere. Callaway golf in the year 2003 received more than a 100 patents alone. They truly have an unmatched and unchallenged commitment to excellence, excellence in golf.

HISTORY

1986-Callaway for the first time used computer controlled milling machines, ensuring flatness of their putter faces.

1997-sales reach astounding $849 million.

2003-was No.1 brand in woods, irons and putters for seven years in a row.

2007-on the Golf Digest Hot list, they have a mind boggling 17 products to their credit. These include golf balls, drivers, woods and irons.

Clearly, it a very crystal clear fact now that Callaway golf clubs and other products are the best in the business. Where there is quality, there is a matching price. With such modern technology used in the manufacture of Callaway products, their price is also quite high. These products come in a price band of $1000-$2000.Although these prices may seem high but these are competitive with the other brands.

When a person is only starting off at golf and does not want to spend at expensive products, one can always go for used Callaway golf clubs. one can purchase used Callaway golf clubs at a considerably low price while not compromising too much on the quality.however.whenever one purchases used Callaway golf clubs or any other used golf products, one should take care of fake and inferior quality merchandise, imitation golf clubs, clubs that have been altered from the original and others.

Used Callaway golf clubs are highly recommended over new ones unless you are a seasoned golf professional or a keen golf player. To ensure that what you are buying is the highest quality, buy only certified pre-owned Callaway golf clubs.

BENEFITS OF USED CLUBS

The buying of used Callaway golf clubs is just like the situation of buying used automobiles. One knows the condition and the quality of the product one is getting and also gets a warranty. It is of utmost importance that one only buys authentic used Callaway golf clubs from certified pre-owned Callaway golf club sellers.

MOST POPULAR PRE-OWNED CALLAWAY GOLF CLUBS

1. Callaway FT-5 Driver

A huge 50 grams weight has been added using carbon fibre body-this creates the Optfit Weighting System that produces three centres of gravity systems-Draw, Fade and the neutral.

2. Callaway FT-i Driver

It has the revolutionary 460cc Complete Inertial Design which certainly takes imagination clubbed with reality to a whole new level. It has the highest moment of inertia than any other club today.

3. Callaway 460cc Driver

This particular driver is all-titanium and has been designed for longer and straighter tee shots. The CT/VFT Face, Consistent alignment sole and patented Callaway golf technologies have all been incorporated into this 460cc driver.

To calculate your best putter length you must base it on your height. You will do what’s known as a wrist-to-floor measurement. Measure form the inside of your wrist at the top of your hand all the way down to the floor. Keep this measurement ready for future reference.

The Second Key:Figure out what your posture is when you’re putting. Do you stand more upright like a Vijay Singh? If so you will be better suited to longer putters that have more upright angles. Or do you have more of a crouched posture like the great Jack Nicklaus? If you fall into this category you will need a shorter putter that has flatter angles with it.The

Third Key:Look at your hand position when you address the ball for a putt. There are a number of factors that will affect the proper loft at impact you need. These include offset putters, ball position, and hand position. Are you a player with pronounced forward press? This will create negative loft at the point of impact; therefore you will need additional loft to counteract this preference. If you have a conventional hand position then you will benefit from a standard lofted putter.

The Fourth Key:What’s your putting stroke like? You must consider this because depending on your wrist action, it will dictate what type of grips you need. Players with more of a pendulum action will choose wider or fatter grips to inhibit any unwanted wrist action. A golfer who has more wrist action in their stroke will prefer the smaller, thinner, more traditional sized grips. As these are believed to promote a smoother release of the ball.

The Fifth Key:Look at your stroke path. Do you have an inside-square-inside (small arc) path to your stroke? If so you probably have a tendency to pull your putts and will benefit from what’s known as heel shafted model putter. If you’re more of straight-back-straight-through stroke you will have more of a tendency to push your putts. You would then benefit more from a face balanced putter with the weight dispersed evenly in the putter head. With that being said, go get yourself a properly fitted putter. Every golfer knows good putting is essential and you’re leaving yourself at a huge disadvantage by not using the proper equipment!

Finding the perfect putter for your style of play can be the most difficult club to select. Unlike woods and irons, there is no set formula for fitting someone to the correct putter. The only way to find the right putter for you is to conduct your own search, try some putters out.

A frustration is that even if you find a putter that seems to work very well for you for quite some time, it may not always work that well, and you may have to replace it with a different style putter at some point. It’s just one of the little frustrating parts of the game of golf for some people. So what should you be looking for when shopping for a golf putter?

Perhaps the first thing to consider is the material that is used for the putter head itself. More so than any other golf club in your bag, your putter relies on feel to be used successfully. So the kind of material that is used for the putter head can be important. Unfortunately, there’s almost no end to the different kinds of material that are used for putter heads including stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum and lots more. The only way to see how the putter head material transmits feel is to try them all out yourself. Lighter materials also tend to contribute to more hand action in the stroke, whereas heavier putter heads tend to slow down the stroke and help it remain more consistent.

The shape of your putter head can also be important. The two main shapes that are in use these days are the blade and the mallet. A blade putter looks like a miniature hockey stick, and the blade can vary from being solid to a more cavity-back design. Again, which style works best for you can only be determined by putting them both to use.

Another consideration with putters is how the shaft connects to the putter head. Some connect in the center of the putter head, whereas others connects at the heel or back of the putter instead. This is another area where there is no right or wrong choice that can be made. It simply depends on which seems to be most comfortable to you as you use it.

No discussion of putters can be complete without also mentioning the longer golf putters that have come into popular use in recent years. Generally, there are two main sizes of these longer putters. One is referred to as the belly putter, and the other is often called a broomstick putter.

Belly putters are usually around 40 in. or so in length and they are designed to be tucked into the body around the abdomen area as an anchor to help stabilize the putter throughout the stroke. This usually helps produce a more consistent putting stroke and eliminates a lot of extra hand movement.

Long putters are made to tuck into the chest area instead, allowing the golfer to take a more upright stance when putting. The hands are usually separated on the putter with one being at the top and the other about midway down the shaft. This kind of putter produces a true are in the swing and if used correctly can encourage a more consistent putting stroke.

It should be obvious that when it comes to golf putters there are plenty of choices that can be made, and the best putter for you is the one that you feel most comfortable with and gives you the best results, whichever one that may be.

To be honest, if you find somewhere with a great set of clubs that have limited wear and the seller is reputable and professional about it, there is little chance that they will let you down.
In fact and perhaps especially if you are looking for a branded set, used golf clubs could well be a bargain and let you taste the good life for a fraction of the price you would pay for brand new.
Like buying a used car, it’s important that you take note of a few things before you buy. No-one wants to have to fork out for the equivalent a new engine just after making the deal of the decade. And with the great deal that you can probably get with them, it’s unlikely you will get a warranty that lasts for a year or more!
There are a few issues you need to consider as you make your purchase – it’s better to investigate everything that’s important about your used golf clubs now, rather than end up crying about it a few months down the track.
So, what do you need to consider then? Apart from trying to buy them from somewhere that you trust, with someone there who can advise you on the clubs’ suitability for you personally, there are a few things that you own due diligence should be on the lookout for:-
1) Check the grips to ensure that there is no real wear. Of course a little wear on used golf clubs is acceptable. If there is more than the minimum and the grips are smoothing out, the clubs might still be a good buy, as long as you factor in the costs of regripping, which is generally quite low compared to the bargain price you might be getting.
2) The other thing to consider carefully about the grips on used golf clubs is whether they are loose at all. With some wear it’s possible that they can deteriorate, so check this out too.
3) Have a good look at where the club head is attached to the shaft. If any of your set of used golf clubs show any signs of cracking at that critical point, be very wary. A crack here, however small, can easily turn into something much worse and that might be expensive to fix.
4) General wear and tear. Like buying a used car, the overall impression of the used golf clubs in your sights, is an indication of how they have been treated. A visual inspection can’t show everything up, so if they have been treated in such a way as to give you concern, there might be hidden faults that could only show up later.
Buying used is usually really good value and there is no doubt that you can get a great set for just a tiny proportion of the real off-the-shelf brand new cost.
As long as you have taken a little time to check out the possible problems, you should have little difficulty in getting yourself a good set of used golf clubs.
With luck, they will last you for a good length of time, as well as giving you the opportunity to experience a very good brand indeed, which might have been impossible if you had needed to buy them new.

Used golf clubs are available all over the place and give you the chance to try golfing inexpensively. If you do not stick with it you are not out as much money.
If you are a regular golfer you can usually find some nice used golf clubs that are the same as the new set you have been eyeing at the store – and with a significantly reduced price.
Used Golf Clubs – What You Must Check First
If you decide to buy some used golf clubs there are some things you should check out before purchase.
First check the grips. The grips should not be to worn or cracked. If you buy clubs with bad grips and have to regrip them it kind of ruins the whole good deal. Gripping done by a professional can add up to fifteen dollars per club.
The second thing to check out when buying used golf club’s is the shafts. You should twist the head and the grip in opposite directions – it should show good resistance. Eye the club straight out in front of you to check for any bending.
Third, check out the club heads. Make sure the club head is not too worn. There will probably be some wear but as long as the grooves are still defined and there are no indentations they should be fine.
Buying Online Is A Great Deal
Used golf club’s are all over the internet. From e-Bay to private dealers and even the big dogs sell used sets. Make sure you check the price of the same site as new to see if you are getting a good deal. Of course, one problem with buying used golf clubs online is that you cannot test them.
You can’t swing them around and get a feel for them. This is not to say that you should not purchase used golf club’s online, it’s best to just exercise a little caution.
Insist on a picture of each club in the set lined up so you can be sure they are all from the same set. Some of you may not be to worried about all the above concerns since you only play occasionally for fun. If you want to buy previously owned golf clubs and get a lot of use out of them, do check them carefully before you buy wherever possible.
Look For A Good Reputation
Used golf clubs on the market are generally a good deal and in good shape. Deal with someone who has a good reputation and you will do just fine.
There are some really fantastic deals out there and with some time and patience you can find the right set for you.
One last note on previously owned golf clubs is the putter. You may want to consider investing in a really good putter that suits you personally, by working with a retailer to locate just the right one for you. Putting is frustrating enough without using the right equipment for you.
Have fun finding your used golf clubs and enjoy the game.

Having a balanced putter leads to sound putting. If the putter itself can pass the simple spin and push test, a foundation for good putting can be made. If a putter is not balanced, it will torque at address and during the stroke; the putter will become a variable along with speed, slope of the breaks, greens condition, and length. Confidence in the putter will lead to a solid putting stance and more success.

Most putters will fail one or both of the simple check tests. The first is the spin test. With the grip pointing down, hold the putter just below the head between the palms. Spin the club. The more waggle it has the more unbalanced it is. The second test is the push test. Place the end of the grip on the floor and hold the club with one hand just below the head. With a finger of the free hand, push where the “sweet spot” is marked. If the head moves there is no real “sweet spot.” If the putter fails one or even both, how is the putt going to be accurate?

A proper length of the putter is also a major factor in putting. A proper stance will dictate the proper length of the putter. A solid stance will begin with having the eyes over the ball; this allows the seeing of the desired putting line. Feet should be about shoulder width. Players should place their hips over the heels; this will build the foundation. The arms should drop below the shoulders to allow for a natural pendulum motion. Now the player should grip the putter; this grip will be the proper length for the club. With the off-the-rack putters many players might be gripping the steel shaft. The length should be adjusted. This fitted putter will help dictate a solid stance time after time.

With a balanced and fitted putter, the player’s thoughts such as … the hole is up hill and goes right to left … if I shift into second gear quicker, I can improve gas mileage … the green is a little wet … I wonder if the guys at the office understand my report … can be addressed without the worry of the putter itself or even the stance being a problem.

The secret behind golf is to be comfortable and eliminate as many variables as possible.

Now Your on the Green. This is where You Need Touch. You want to feel confident with Your Putter. This is where You will find the Putter To Exceed Your Expectations. The Putter that just feels good in Your Hands.

We have researched some relatively unknown Golf Putters to see how they stack up against the big name, more popular, high dollar brands. What we have found may be a bit surprising. Seems like these particular Putters performed as well or better than those we used in our comparisons. The following details are for your information only. We are not trying to persuade anyone one way or the other. We are simply stating facts and statistics. What you do with this information is entirely up to you. We are just suggesting Putters that may or may not improve your game. But will save you money!

The Acer MC putters are based upon a classic design, but with a twist. We added modern elements to bring these models to the 21st century. Each style possesses additional perimeter weighting to increase the MOI – a measurement of forgiveness to ensure that the putts stay on their intended line, even on off-center shots. The weights are increased as well to complement the shorter putter lengths found today or to offset the additional weight with some of the more popular oversized grips. Lastly, the faces are CNC milled to ensure the faces are a perfectly flat striking surface.

The Bionik Putter features a soft alloy insert anodized for a striking new look. The zinc body is highlighted with a beautiful tin-nickel finish and contrasting blue precision milled face to ensure superior performance.Heel-shafted semi-mallet possessing forgiveness on off-center shots. Bold trapezoidal insert frames and aligns the ball in conjunction with top sight line. Full mallet design with accentuated rear weighting complements this traditional offset configuration to position hand ahead of putter for solid contact. Hollow bodied designed brings both depth and confidence at address. Slightly heavier weight preferred for those who putt on slower greens or tend to decelerate at impact.

The newest stainless steel model in the Bionik family features a unique alignment system. The rearward dual struts not only help to center the ball on the face, but also visually frame the ball toward the target and create the perfect heel and toe balance. From the exquisite finish, black diamond-milled insert to the classic spur-type hosel this will soon become a standard.

Exclusively designed for women, the iBella Tiara putter dons a contemporary look with soft, flowing edges, an hourglass center support and is surrounded by authentic Swarovski crystals in the outer ring. The beautiful appearance is not adorned for its looks alone, by also crafted to maximize forgiveness by placing the weight where it is needed most. Rounding out the shape, the Tiara putter is center-shafted for ease of alignment and consists of a diamond-milled periwinkle face insert for a perfectly flat surface.

We hope the information provided in this article will assist those of you shopping for new Putters to make an educated and iformed decsion. We also hope that by providing the information on the Putters featured we will help you improve your Putting. And most of all, we want you to have better Putters for less!

With so many putters to choose from, how do you know which one is right for you? The most popular styles of putters are blade, mallet, perimeter weighted, insert, and offset. Each one of these putters has it’s own uniqueness.

Blade putters are narrow and flat with the best feel for the ball. Low handicappers favor blades. Blades differ in where the shaft enters the head. The shaft is either at the heel or center, where it enters more in the middle of the blade. Tending to be face balance, blade putters will suit a player with a straight putting stroke. These putters are suited to hard, faster greens that require soft control, making them a good safe choice.

Mallets have a large rounded head. The deep design of the putter’s head allows for a lower and deeper centre of gravity that is far away from the face, reducing backspin on your putts. A lot of mallet putters have inserts on the face offering a soft hit from a large head. The weight is usually balanced throughout the club, providing golfers with a more consistent putting stroke.

Perimeter weighted putters are very forgiving because the weight is distributed around the edges. This putter provides for a larger sweet spot because the perimeter weighting stabilizes any slight mis-hits. These putters are great for beginning golfers or high handicappers.

Insert putters are designed with composite inserts made of a softer material. The advantage of using a light insert means the weight of the putter can be redistributed elsewhere on the putter face. Therefore the weight is added to the heel or and toe, offering a wider area for pure strikes. This wider area makes a larger sweet spot with more forgiveness. The inserts provide for a better feel on the putt and a smoother role, rather than a hop or skid. The only draw back is they do not produce sound. If sound is important feedback, this may not be the putter for you.

Offset places the actual putter blade back from the shaft slightly. This allows the golfers eyes to be more directly on top of the ball when standing over the putt. This will increase top spin for a truer roll.

Don’t forget that it’s also very important to choose the right length putter. If a putter is too short or long it can lead to bad posture, throwing off your view of the putting line. It is important to choose the right length for your body type.

Traditional length putters are the most common. They are approximately 33-36 inches in length. These putters use the golfer’s natural swinging motion of your arms, like a pendulum, giving the putt a true roll.

Belly putters are latest craze amongst players. They are approximately 41-46 inches in length. The end of the putter rests in on your belly button while you swing the club back and forth. Resting the club shaft on your belly button creates a third point of contact, stabilizing the stroke and anchoring the body. The wrist action is easier to control as the length of the putter changes the dynamic of the swinging motion. The main disadvantages are distance control and feel. The belly putter requires golfers to use more large muscles and fewer small muscles during the putting stroke. Additional practice is required to develop the feel for distance control.

Long or Broom Handle putters are the least popular length to use. They are approximately 48-52 inches and up in length. Golfers stabilize this putter by pressing its top against their chest or resting it on their chin. These putters require a completely different grip. Most players grip long putters with their left hand, holding the putter into their body (thumb up), and the right hand working as a claw in the middle section of the putter to pull and push through the line of the putt causing the putter to swing like a pendulum. Putting all the power of the stroke in the right hand. This is a tough skill to master and hard to use in the wind.

Now that you’ve got a feel for what putter’s are available to you and how they work, choosing the right putter will be easier. With about 50 percent of your shots being putts, it’s important to pick a putter that works for you. Great putting will always save par.

Shave Some Strokes off your Golf ScoreNo matter what your golf score, about 42% of all your strokes are taken with a putter. That is a sobering statistic. While golfers spend hours reading reviews and discussing the various aspects of the new high tech woods and irons, in some cases their putter was probably a gift or won at a golf outing. Many golfers choose a putter based on the intangible “feel”. At best, the selection criteria probably wasn’t remotely close to the effort expended selecting the remaining clubs. If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. If you are not using the right putter for your size and stroke, it is almost impossible to have a consistent and successful putting method. The right putter may be a great way to shave enough strokes off your game to break ninety or at least have old Angus buy the rounds at the 19th hole. The most important part of putter selection is shaft length. Stock putter lengths tend to be standard, which is great if you are of average height and average putting stance. If not, your putter’s base is probably not lying perfectly flat on the ground, or you are adjusting your stance. A subtle change which can dramatically affect your stroke and, unfortunately, the results. If the putter’s toe is slightly off the ground, there is a tendency to pull the putt to the left. It stands to reason that if the heel of the putter is slightly elevated, the putt will move to the right. The angle of the shaft to the putter head perfectly flat on the green is sometimes called the lie angle. The standard shaft length for putters is 35″, but the overall length can range from 32″ to 52″. If you are taller or shorter than average, your lie angle is going to be wrong and you can absolutely count on missing two or three makeable putts every round. You start thinking you are a poor putter and lose some confidence, when actually you have the wrong putter. This problem is exacerbated as more and more golfers start using the pendulum stroke, which completely changes the shaft length.Check your lie angle by standing in front of a full length mirror and getting into your putting stance as though you are putting into the mirror. Don’t use a golf ball. Get into a completely and totally comfortable putting stance. Place your hands on the grip where it is most comfortable, not to make the putter lie flat. Then, look into the mirror. If the club head is not perfectly flat on the floor or rug, the shaft length and/or the lie angle is wrong and you need to go putter shopping. Make sure to determine the appropriate shaft length. If you can find a putter on line that you like with the correct shaft length, go for it. Otherwise, you need to consider a custom fitted golf putter.Other important factors include club head design, putter face loft angle and the new putter inserts that are becoming quite popular. The club head design is a matter of personal choice and comfort. The traditional blade putter are thin and usually carry the weight in both the heel and the toe. They have been around for years and they are what they are.The mallet style putters have more weight in the club head and, most importantly, they are easier to align than the bladed putters. The alignment putter is an improvement on the mallet putter and offers different alignment features that help putt the ball on the target line. Try them all out and choose the one that feels best in your hands.Putter inserts are technology’s contribution to putting the golf ball. While design and components vary, the purpose is to get the ball rolling smoothly towards the cup and reducing the dreaded skipping along the green putt.It is also important to consider your putter’s loft. You can change the loft of a putter, helpful on slow greens, by putting the ball off the front part of your foot. Loft requirements relate more to the type of green than a golfers individual preference. For example, Bermuda grass greens require a bit more loft than the more traditional bent grass. Check out the greens on your course before making a putter face loft decision. Finally, consider the putter’s weight, grip and the hosel (neck). The weight rule is simple. The slower the stroke, the heavier the putter. The grip should be comfortable and designed to reduce that old bugaboo, wrist movement. The hosel places the ball directly under or ahead of the shaft. The more the putter is offset, the more the hands will be in front of the golf ball when the putt is struck. The face balanced or center shafted putter, where the putter’s shaft and hosel are more in the center, help the golfer who wants to keep the club face square with the ball throughout the swing. Use your finger to balance your putter. If the putter’s face points up, it is face balanced. Take some time to find the putter that is best for your game. All you can save are strokes.

The Putter is unquestionably one of the most important golf clubs used in the sport – a putter can quite literally make or brake the result for a player. It is therefore imperative to select the right putter to suit a player’s game.

A golf putter is without question the most individual of all golf clubs, produced in a variety of styles and sizes to meet the requirements and expectations unique to a players own preference. There are many factors to take into consider when purchasing a new golf putter – the following points are intended to provide a brief overview of the key features to be aware of…The head of the putter and its construction should be considered on how it relates to a players game. If you are beginner to the sport a heavier weighted putter that provides a greater degree of power behind the shot and will also facilitate a smoother delivery. There are three types of putter head most commonly found on today’s range of golf putters, these include: blade, peripheral weighted and mallet.

The oldest and most traditional type of putter head is the blade. Typically a much smaller head compared to contemporary styles. The blade head offers a large degree of confidence to the player – whilst the soft hit produced from this type of putter will suit a majority of greens – especially the faster ones. This type of putter head suits a straight putting stroke.

Also recognised as the heel-toe weighted putter. A popular choice amongst professional and a small following of amateur players. The peripheral weight putter head is typically larger than a blade putter and is therefore not face balanced; this type of putter is best suited to players with an in-out stroke type.

The first true alternative to a blade headed putter, the mallet putter is both larger and heavier – resembling a fairway wood than a traditional putter. This type of design allows for a lower and deeper positioned centre of gravity that is located towards the heel of the putter head to reduce the degree of backspin. An insert is commonly placed on to the face of the putter to induce a soft hit from a large headed putter – this type of putter is traditionally face-balanced and therefore suits a player with a straight-through and back stroke of play. The face of the putter is equally important and ensures that golf ball rolls optimally and accurately when struck. Milled faces are commonly used on today’s range of putters and aim to give the player the perfect putting surface. Depending on the preference of the player an insert-faced putter will produce a softer and firmer feel when struck, whilst anti-skid faced putters – a recent innovation in putter design, promises to reduce excessive friction to deliver fast and accurate shots. If you’re in the market for a new putter or merely contemplating the possibility of taking-up the sport – the Internet provides the richest source of articles, reviews and products on golf putters and golf equipment in general. For the lowest guaranteed prices online search for retailers offering factory direct golf equipment – The Sports HQ for example supplies golf equipment direct from popular brands like Confidence, Prosimmon Golf, Texan Classics, Chicago Golf and Forgan of St. Andrews – in addition to clearance sale promotions on top-brands like Odyssey Golf – the number 1 brand for golf putters.
